Monica E. de Baca, M.D.
Monica E. de Baca MD, practices pathology in Seattle, WA. Her experiences include years of AP/CP pathology practice in both community and hospital settings, medical directorships of CAP accredited high complexity laboratories and academic associations and director roles in hematopathology. She is active in the College of American Pathologists, having participated in the SNOMED International Editorial Board, co-authored CAP Cancer Checklists, and was a founding co-chair of the Pathology Electronic Reporting Taskforce (PERT). She is active in the Informatics Committee and CLIA Advisory Committee. Her interest in reporting is related to a multi-lingual life: besides her ABP Boards, Dr. de Baca holds an MD from the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is trained and boarded in Ophthalmology (Land Brandenburg, German). Understanding communication complexities and improving communication channels fascinates her.
